Manifesto
From proposition to identity, fast
We all know that rebranding your own agency can be painful, so when we were challenged to bring Manifesto back to life in 2024, we moved quickly: taking the proposition and rapidly creating a new logo and visual language from the ground up. With a light refresh and iterating on what we learnt about the first phase has been key.
Challenge
In 2024 we were set the challenge of bringing our own agency back to life. We were handed the proposition and had to move fast, rapidly creating a new logo and visual language from the ground up. The first version looked great, and deliberately did not lean on imagery or video. But over the following two years our services grew, and the brand needed to work harder to show what we actually make.
New shapes, a broader colour palette, and a fresh approach gave our marketing far more presence and helped it stand out.
Solution
As Director of Design I own the Manifesto brand, and I led its evolution. We expanded the visual language with more colour and more shape, giving us the range to communicate a broader set of services clearly. We built out our marketing materials so the brand flexes: we can bring a client's own colours into our system and it still unmistakably reads as ours. Our slides are built to carry narrative, so we can tell a sharp, visual story about each client rather than just presenting to them. Accessibility is built in throughout, and our sites consistently score over 95% accessible.
We were easily able to create a sub brand for our podcast
The brand allowed us to make our decks sing in client presentations, proposal and pitches.
Impact
The refreshed site does its real job: explaining our services clearly and giving our work, our people, and our content room to be seen. The visual language now shows off what we make rather than holding it back.
Just as importantly, the brand is built to market properly. We can tell sharp, visual stories about our clients, flex the system to carry their colours while staying recognisably ours, and put our content and people in front of the right audiences. Accessibility holds above 95% throughout, so all of that reach works for everyone.
